Who can honestly say that along with the bottle of wine and bread in her basket, Little Red Riding Hood wasn’t also carrying a jar of wholesome forest honey and some delicious conserves?
After all, besides going perfectly with the freshly baked bread, they would certainly have done a world of good to grandma’s health. The fairy tale might tell us nothing of the sort, but that cannot stop us imagining the scene while savouring a nice thick slice of bread and jam!
