Cà Vecchia directly follows every steps of the rice production. Our rice is estate grown, processed and packed by Cà Vecchia.
We use rice from the area “Sinistra Mincio” of Mantua because the fertile soil and the excellent microclimate produce one of the highest qualities of rice.
The high quality of the Cà Vecchia production is guaranteed by rigorous controls from the rise fields with the selection of raw material “paddy”, the processing stages and use of modern technology.
We use innovative and sophisticated optical sorting machines that remove imperfect grains and ensure that only perfect rice grains are used.
The innovative packaging in vacuum-packed containers guarantees a product with unchanged organoleptic qualities, resulting in a unique package which is both healthy and elegant. The protective atmosphere consists in the replacement of oxygen with a mixture of azoth and carbon dioxide. The protective atmosphere is a new concept; it can eliminate humidity and inhibit bacterial development, going beyond the standard vacuum-system.
